Vorwort der Präsidentin

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

I am very happy to welcome you to the Austrian Society of Pathology’s
Spring Meeting, taking place on the 13th and 14th of March 2026 in
Vienna/Techgate. With the organisation of this congress we follow the
tradition of combining an excellent scientific program with personal
meetings exchanging knowledge and science.

This year, we have decided to continue to hold this congress in English,
as we will have foreign visitors and last year´s feed-back was very positive.

We have invited an outstanding faculty and are very proud of this
important, but also innovative program.

The meeting will start on Friday, March 13th with a focus on lectures in
German for medical scientist/technicians and will present subjects that
pathologist should also be familiar with. The following sessions will cover
a variety of topics, including nephropathology (if I may say so – interesting
for everybody), but also hot topics in gynecolopathology and the problem
of HPV vaccination, which we think is a burning issue. As you all know,
Vienna is not only an exciting for discussions with colleagues and friends,
but it also rich of cultural experiences and stunning moments. I hope you
will enjoy the meeting and wish you a pleasant stay. I really look forward
to welcoming you to Vienna for this spring meeting.
